New hope for a patient lost her ability to walk
A young woman in her twenties was suffering from severe pain and inability to move, Upon her arrival at the emergency of the Saudi German Hospital, Hail branch, the medical staff took the necessary measures, then the examination was carried out by Dr. Muhammad Khaled, PhD in neurosurgery, and after performing radiological screening, it was found that there was a malignant tumor in the thoracic eleventh vertebra, which led to a fracture in the vertebra, and it was found that the tumor extended to the surrounding ribs.
The decision to perform surgery was the most difficult but the best for a full recovery;

Where the entire front and back part of the vertebra and parts of the affected ribs were removed, with the placement of a replacement stent for the removed vertebrae in addition to stabilizing the rest of the vertebrae with the support of Neurophysiology monitoring during surgery.
Within just one month, the patient regained her ability to walk, got rid of the severe pain she was suffering from, and began to lead a normal life.
