Saudi German Health successfully attended to the medical needs of the participants at this year's edition of the Dakar Rally, organized by the Amaury Sport Organization from January 3 to January 15.

Under the terms of the agreement signed with Saudi German Health in December last year, participants of the off-road endurance event in need of immediate medical assistance would be treated and attended to by Saudi German Health. The hospital group is best equipped to provide medical coverage for such events as it is the largest network of hospitals in the Kingdom with world-class medical expertise. Geographically the hospital is dispersed across the entire country, making it easily accessible to the community and along the Dakar Rally route, which runs across many different locations in the Kingdom.

The hospital provided medical attention and care for several medical cases during the rally's exclusive 13-day run. These were handled by Saudi German Health's hospitals in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Hail. The exclusive one-year contract can be renewed automatically to ensure that the Dakar Rally racers receive the best medical care. The agreement was signed in the presence of Gouram Assathiany, Director of International Affairs and Sporting Events at Mutuaide Assistance Company, and Dr. Ahmed Shebl, CEO of MEAHCO.

Makarem Sobhi Batterjee, President and Vice Chairman, Saudi German Health, said, "We are proud to have signed this new partnership agreement with the organizers of the Dakar Rally, known worldwide for top endurance events that test the best rally drivers. The forging of this new alliance demonstrates our commitment to providing world-class medical services through our hospitals, clinics and by reaching out to our communities in different ways such as sports and wellness activities. Saudi German Health's collaborations with the world's top sporting events reflect our continuing efforts to render world class healthcare services to Saudi and world communities. We strongly support the Kingdom's sports and wellness efforts in line with Saudi Vision 2030."

The newly signed agreement follows similar partnerships signed with top sporting events such as Al-Ahli Sports Club, Ettifaq FC, Damac FC, and Abha Club. Saudi German Health has also previously signed an agreement to be part of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, reinforcing its access to world-class medical service offerings for its patients in Saudi Arabia and the region.
